Danee reached out to me in spring 2018 for a mommy and me session. I was just starting my photography journey after realizing how fast the moments were going and how special the photos were with my own daughter. I loved working with the two of them then, and I am grateful for all the additional sessions we have done since. We have worked together nearly every time I have been back in Illinois.
I was there when we did their first family session when Danee & Dylan were early in their relationship, I did another family session right before they got engaged. They even flew to Colorado for their engagement session! Of course I was there for their wedding, as I watched them FINALLY officially become a family of four.
These four prove that family doesn’t have to be blood. The connection that Wyatt and Aubrey share is as close to brother & sister as you can get. They tease, play, hug, protect and I’m sure occasionally annoy each other as well. Their relationship is very close and it is such a joy to watch them together. They are sweet and kind to everyone they interact with.
The love the four of them show is infectious. Hanging out with them just made me so thankful for the love of family. I wanted to go home and squeeze my babes after watching them love on their own.
I am sure that my constant use of “love” is annoying. But, watching Danee and Dylan- that’s all I can think of. They exude the connection of trust, admiration, and adoration for one another that is so special to see in a relationship. They are both amazing people and I am so happy that they have each other.
We had originally planned this session for a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the day of their session, it was COLD. Brutally so. Windy and 35- with sleeting rain. Not an ideal situation for photos. I asked them if they would be willing to postpone until nicer weather and they took me up on it! I am so glad they did. We had a gorgeous sun filled evening and temperatures in the upper 60’s.
This location was a last minute find and I am IN LOVE with how their photos turned out. Thank you Danee & Dylan (and Wyatt & Aubrey) for spending time with me to get these updated portraits.
Also, I almost NEVER include black & whites on a blog post, but these ones I couldn’t resist.
Houser family, I hope you guys love these as much as I do!
