Testerman Family 2022: Charleston, South Carolina

filed in

HOW DID I NOT BLOG THIS SESSION FOUR MONTHS AGO?! This darling family of mine is a repeat client. “But Brenda, you don’t even live in Charleston anymore?” I KNOW- but I sure wish I did! Kara was a client of mine while we were stationed in Colorado. She was a referral from another family that I had worked with. We met a few weeks before they PCS’d at a favorite location of mine to document their time in the mountains.

Well, when Kevin and I planned our Charleston trip this summer, I let her know I would be in the area. Lo and behold, she wanted to do a session! Hooray! I got to reunite with Cohen who was full on three! And meet sweet Lincoln who was about to turn one. Corey & Kara truly adore their darling babies and I just love watching them love on each other.

We met at Sullivan’s Island shortly before sunset for a beach session. You guys, I WAS NERVOUS! I had never done a family session at the beach and I was so worried that I would not be able to accomplish the beauty they were looking for.

We did excellent. They arrived so cute and darling, and we were able to get really special portraits of their family during this season of life. Cohen was my wild card. He DID NOT want to do photos, but you know what? I had so much fun chasing him in the water- I did not even care. Thankfully mom and dad didn’t care that I allowed him to run amok the entire time.

These photos are so special to me because I value the relationship I created with the Testerman family. They are an awesome group of people and I am so thankful I get to know them. Also, the beach was really showing off and we were so lucky with gorgeous weather and a beautiful sunset! I would do this every day if I could!

Please enjoy these awesome moments from their family session!

Testerman family, thank you so much for letting me work with you guys while I was in Charleston! I loved getting to catch up. Reach out again if I am back in the area, I would love to see you.
