I was not blogging last summer when I did this session. I was intrigued by it, but didn’t bite the bullet and actually do it. Hailey is one of my favorite models to get to work with. I am going to meet up with Miss Hailey in a few days to update some photos for her.
I met Hailey when she was four. Which is absolutely CRAZY to think about because my oldest daughter Allie, is three! Hailey is the daughter of one of my husband’s cousin, Leah. I met her at some kind of family function when the out of state family members had come in! Now, we have lived in Colorado for five years and we have had the opportunity to see much more of each other!
When I want to get out and work and I need a model, I always reach out to Hailey because she is GORGEOUS and so much fun to hang out with. Hailey is so naturally body-aware from her years and years of dance. She holds herself with such elegance and poise, her natural grace is amazing.
Hailey texted me in March volunteering to go shoot sometime, well then the stay at home orders slammed down on us and now as we are FINALLY opening back up, I asked Hailey if she wanted to come work with me again. So, stay tuned for that later this week, because that will be so much fun!
This session we did the day before she started the 2019 school year, she had her hair and makeup done by Michaela of Makeup Artist Denver and we went out and captured her beauty with the gorgeous mountains in the background. It was a super hot day, but you would not have known it by the fresh look of these photos.
One of my favorite locations we used was a bed of lavendar, and it was FULL of bees. Hailey was a trooper and climbed in and stayed there without panicking. The photos from that spot easily turned out to be my favorite.
Hailey, you’re gorgeous inside and out and I am so grateful that I have been able to photograph you so often. Can’t wait for Wednesday! <3
